LET’S TALK: After our very successful session towards the end of last year discussing the role of women in the Church, we turn now to reflect on ATHEISM.
Do we agree that there seem to be more and more atheists and that they have an increasing voice in society? What are their criticisms of religion and are they valid? In our own experience , how do we react when someone says they do not believe God exists, that the Bible contradicts itself, that religion is a force for evil in the world? Does religion make people better – or can it make them worse? Can someone be good without God?
To discuss these and other views, come along to St Mary’s Catholic Club on Monday 23rd January at 7.00pm. All welcome.
