The current parish priest is Fr. Mark White C.P. appointed in November 2008. The Assistant Priest is Fr Patrick McKeown C.P. and there are two permanent deacons: Rev James Foley and Rev Barry Walker. The parish secretary who can be contacted on Mon, Tues and Thurs-Fri between 9.00 and 4.30 is Miss Lynda Ellmers. – The church is situated on Clarence Road. – The Passionist Community have their residence at The Retreat, 3, Sea Street which is in fact adjacent to the church despite the disparity of addresses. The Retreat Hall is also on Clarence Road and is used by the parish for various catechetical, children’s and social activities. Next door to the Retreat Hall is St Mary’s Catholic Club Tel: 01227 373336 which offers the opportunity for a drink, a game of snooker and pleasant company in a relaxed atmosphere. |
